Dirk has been a registered pharmacist since 2005 and furthered this expertise in 2013 when he pioneered and co-founded Acnos Pharma together with his two business partners. He has co-owned the three Acnos pharmacies in Aachen since 2012 and heads up the on-site oncology and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) compounding centre.
Prior to starting up his own companies, Dirk gained extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, predominantly in Product Management roles and in the field of Medical Education.
Dirk served as the Responsible Person for Acnos Pharma as per §52a AMG (Medicinal Products Act – Arzneimittelgesetz) from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, Dirk was appointed to the position of CEO at Acnos Pharma and now leads the Quality, Warehousing and Logistics teams within Acnos’ German headquarters, based out of Aachen.
Dirk holds a PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Bonn and studied Pharmacy in both Bonn and Trieste.
